Romelu Lukaku’s much talked about move to Roma could take place within the coming hours.

The Belgian attacker is Roma’s number one priority as the capital club are currently meeting with Chelsea with the objective of finalizing an agreement for Lukaku’s loan signing.

However, Lukaku’s possible arrival has also prompted local authorities to take preventive security measures.

According to Corriere dello Sport, the city’s main airports of Ciampino and Fiumicino have been warned by the police in case of crowds coming to greet Lukaku akin to what happened in 2015 upon Edin Dzeko landing in Italy: over 5,000 fans gathered outside of Ciampino.

This time, local authorities fear that Lukaku could draw an even bigger crowd of supporters as Roma plan to secure a deal for the veteran striker within the next few hours.
