Ciervo joins Sassuolo on permanent deal

Riccardo Ciervo is leaving Roma and interrupting his loan at Sampdoria, Sky Sport report.

The former Primavera attacker is set to join Sassuolo on a permanent deal after featuring in 12 games for Sampdoria this season with only one start in the 0-1 loss to Napoli.

Sassuolo consider him to be a valid alternative to Jeremie Boga who is on his way to Atalanta.

In the meantime, Sampdoria are reportedly interested in signing as a replacement another ex-Roma player in Gregoire Defrel.
