Former Roma manager and current Cagliari boss Claudio Ranieri spoke ahead of the upcoming clash at the Stadio Olimpico.

During today’s press conference, the Cagliari head coach reflected on the opportunity to face his former player, Daniele De Rossi, in a coaching battle on Monday evening as both teams will be aiming to win all three points.

“Facing Roma always makes me very emotional, like whenever I had to play against Cagliari. I hope De Rossi manages to have the career he deserves, he was already a coach on the pitch,” Ranieri told the media on Saturday.

“Roma is a team that loves ball possession and has excellent quality. We must treasure the 30-40% of possession that they will allow us to hold,” he added.

“Tomorrow we have to play with intensity and play our game. It’s okay to lose to the big teams, but we must not lose our serenity,” he concluded.
