Ex-Roma manager Claudio Ranieri discussed aspects of his long-standing career following his decision to retire with Cagliari.
In a recent interview with Famiglia Cristiana, Ranieri commented on his love for Roma colors and the impact it had on his coaching career.
“I always feel at home in the place I work in,” he said. “In Cagliari, I feel akin to the Sardinian people in mentality: I’m discreet, I don’t open up to everyone.”
“I feel at home in Rome, that is my city. And London, too. We have a house there,” he added.
“I’m a serious professional when it comes to my job, so I always cheer for the team I coach. But no matter what, I cannot betray my faith, the faith I’ve had since I was a young child. I’m a Romanista no matter which team I coach.”
