Claudio Ranieri lauds Mourinho’s impact on signing Paulo Dybala

Former Roma manager Claudio Ranieri complimented himself with the capital club and Jose Mourinho for bringing in superstar free agent Paulo Dybala despite the race for the player involved the likes of Inter and Napoli.

“First of all, I want to congratulate Mourinho,” Ranieri told La Gazzetta dello Sport. “I think he put in a good word for the deal to go through.”

“Surely Dybala chose Roma also because they have Mourinho coaching them” he added.

“And I don’t think it is fair of me to say which objectives Roma must now aim for,” Ranieri replied when asked about the club’s ambitions with Dybala at their disposal.

“I will only say that with their potential I think Roma can qualify for the Champions League.”
