Former Roma manager Claudio Ranieri was once again asked to speak on a series of subjects related to his beloved boyhood club.
“Mourinho is right,” he told La Gazzetta dello Sport. “If you can, trophies must always be won and brought home. And as a Roman and Romanista I rejoiced at Roma’s Conference League victory.”
When asked about Mkhitaryan rejecting Roma’s renewal offer in favor Inter’s proposal, Ranieri replied, “For Roma it is an important loss, but I am convinced that Mourinho will know how to remain competitive. After all, his is a three-year project.”
Finally, Ranieri was asked to comment on the links with Feyenoord’s Marcos Senesi, “He seems like a good player to me, but I don’t want to get into the market.”
