Former Roma manager and current Cagliari coach Claudio Ranieri previewed the upcoming Serie A affair with the Giallorossi.
Ahead of the must-win game for both sides, Ranieri said in his pre-match presser, “For me, facing Roma is always special, even if I have always gotten the best out of my team.”
“Mourinho? It’s true, we got off on the wrong foot, but today I respect him very much.”
“I expect to see a really good Roma side. They won on Thursday and a victory is always important,” he added.
“The Giallorossi are very strong on set pieces and in attack. It’s a solid team, who have played in European finals. They have had some difficulties, but they will get back up. They’re definitely not a pushover.”
