Closing Day: Friedkin to officially acquire AS Roma

RomaPress – A new chapter begins today in the history books of AS Roma.

At 11.00 CET, a meeting will begin between between the lawyers of Dan Friedkin, CEO of The Friedkin Group, and James Pallotta for the sale of AS Roma.

Friedkin will officially acquire the club after 10 months of negotiations: you can follow all of the live updates regarding today’s action below.

15.25 CET – The deal is done! Lawyers from both The Friedkin Group and Roma have confirmed that Dan Friedkin has completed the bank transfer: AS Roma is now officially owned by the Houston-based tycoon.

The announcement will arrive after the close of the Italian stock market.

14.50 CET – A legal source of The Friedkin Group has confirmed to RomaPress that the bank transfer will take place at 15.00 CET, just before the close of the Borsa Italiana.

13.00 CET – The parties are taking a break for lunch. Meanwhile, Chelsea attacker Pedro arrived at Ciampino Airport during the stoppage to complete his move to Roma.

11.52 CET – Fienga and Baldissoni have arrived at DLA Piper. Soon the signing process will begin.

11.37 CET – Guido Fienga and Mauro Baldissoni have departed from the club’s headquarters to go to the DLA Piper office.

10.59 CET – Roma vice president Mauro Baldissoni has arrived at the club’s EUR headquarters.

9.54 CET – The meeting will begin shortly at DLA Piper’s office in Roma. Dan Friedkin is currently in Houston and will connect via teleconference while Ryan Friedkin is in London, where closing documents will also be signed.
