Coming hours decisive for Smalling

The coming hours will be decisive for Roma’s pursuit of Chris Smalling.

Il Tempo journalist Filippo Biafora has reported that an intermediary hired by the Giallorossi was sent to England yesterday in an attempt to find an agreement.

Roma will make one final attempt for the English defender, who spent last season on loan at the club, and make one last “take it or leave it” offer to the Red Devils.

Should the English side reject Roma’s renewed attempt for Smalling, then the Giallorossi will exit negotiations and change objectives.

The two clubs have been engaged in negotiations for several months but Manchester United have yet to lower their asking price.
