Conference League: Bodø/Glimt-Roma Preview

AS Roma host Bodo/Glimt in the Conference League

Roma return to action this evening for their third Conference League group stage match against FK Bodø/Glimt.

Manager José Mourinho is expected to heavily rotate his team versus the Norwegians in view of Sunday’s crucial league showdown Napoli. The Portuguese technician is expected to rest Tammy Abraham, Lorenzo Pellegrini, Jordan Veretout, Bryan Cristante, and Gianluca Mancini for this evening’s European fixture.

Bryan Reynolds is expected to make his first start of the season while Eldor Shomurodov leads the attacking line, flanked by Carles Perez, Gonzalo Villar, and Stephan El Shaarawy.

A win for Bodø/Glimt, meanwhile, hope to extend their 14-match unbeaten streak and take all three points against the Giallorossi. A victory would see them leapfrog Roma and go first in Group C.

“I think it will be an open match. Against such good opponents, one key is to be able to dominate the match,” manager Kjetil Knutsen said ahead of the clash.

“We have to do it with a basic gameplan and with patience, we have to keep the ball and try to exploit counterattacks. Roma has great individual quality.”

The two sides square off at 18.45 local time at the Aspmyra Stadion.
