Roma learned their Conference League fate this afternoon after they eliminated Trabzonspor yesterday evening.
The Giallorossi qualified for the group stages after knocking the Turkish side out of the competition 5-1 on aggregate.
Following this afternoon’s draw in Istanbul, Roma were drawn with Zorya Luhansk, CSKA Sofia and Bodo/Glimt in Group C.
The draw means the Giallorossi will face Sofia for the second season in succession, after meeting the Bulgarian side in last year’s Europa League group stage.
The winners of Group C will progress automatically to the knockout round of the competition. The runners-up, meanwhile, will face an interim playoff tie against one of the eight Europa League ‘lucky losers’ to book their place in that phase of the tournament.
