CONI president Giovanni Malago: “There’s a 99.9% chance Serie A resumes on 13 June”.

Giovanni Malago, president of the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI), appeared on Rai Radio 2 this morning and discussed the proposed 13th June restart date for Serie A.

“There’s a 99.9% chance that Serie A restarts on 13th June,” he said.

“Everything is being done to restart, it is the primary objective. However, once things restart, there’s no telling whether the season will be completed or not. You would need a crystal ball”.

It was announced yesterday that Italy’s scientific committee and Lega Serie A have agreed to safety protocols that will be enacted once the season officially resumes.
