Former Juventus sporting director and convicted fraudster in the Calciopoli scandal, Luciano Moggi, spoke out against Jose Mourinho.
Following Mourinho’s remarks directed at the designation of referee Matteo Mercenaro for the match against Sassuolo on Sunday, Moggi wrote a long piece about how the Special One’s words could have a negative effect on the relations between clubs and referees.
“If Mourinho is not severely punished for what he said, everyone will feel they have the right to influence any match even before stepping on the pitch,” wrote Moggi in an opinion piece for Libero.
Moggi was one of the primary culprits behind the match-fixing scandal that shook Italy between 2004 and 2005.
