Roma’s fate in the Coppa Italia took an unexpected twist this evening.

After defeating Genoa last week, the Giallorossi learned they’ll face Cremonese in the quaterfinals of the competition following their stunning upset this evening over Napoli.

The Grigiorossi shocked Luciano Spalletti’s men in a penalty shootout after scoring a late equaliser in normal time. Interestingly, the hero was ex-Roma attacker Felix Afena-Gyan, who leveled the score in the 87th minute and buried the winning penalty.

Still winless in the league, it marked the first victory for Cremonese since October. Jose Mourinho’s side host Cremonese on February 1st at the Stadio Olimpico.
