Coric unveiled by Almeria: “I don’t know why I didn’t play at Roma. I’m happy to be here also because Almeria is nicer than Rome”.

Ante Coric joined second tier Spanish side Almeria last week on loan with an option to buy from Roma. Today, the Croatian midfielder was unveiled by his new club and spoke briefly about his situation with the Giallorossi. The youngster made only a three appearances in his only season with the capital club. These are his words:

“I was waiting for an opportunity like this to be able to show my qualities. My preferred role? I can play in all the positions that the manager wants, but I feel comfortable in the 10 position. I don’t know the reasons why they didn’t let me play in Rome. Almeria is a good opportunity for me now, I’m happy to be here. Then there’s also the city — which is very beautiful and nicer than Roma. I hope we’re able to achieve promotion this year and get to La Liga. I’m dying to play my best to help the team as much as I can”.
