Following a disappointing, last minute defeat with Fiorentina, Cremonese boss Massimiliano Alvini is looking forward to Monday night’s showdown at the Stadio Olimpico where the Grigiorossi will face Roma.

“At the Franchi stadium [in Florence] we still played the way we aimed to. We have to use that as further motivation for tomorrow,” he told reporters earlier today.

“I expect a very difficult match,” Alvini added. “I also expect us show our true identity and our main strengths.”

“We have great respect for Roma, we know who we have in front of us and we are aware of it, but we want to go to the Olimpico and play the way we want to.”

“Roma are a great team and know when to play out in the open and when to counter-attack. We’ll have to watch for every detail.”

“Playing against Roma is fantastic, a rewarding experience for everyone. It will be a pleasure to shake hands with Mourinho.”
