Cremonese striker Cristian Buonaiuto previewed his team’s upcoming league clash on Monday evening at the Stadio Olimpico versus Roma.

The Grigiorossi lost their opening round fixture 3-2 against Fiorentina after a howler from shot-stopper Andrei Radu in the 95th minute of the affair.

“Certainty it was a beautiful feeling to make my debut in Serie A last weekend but it obviously would’ve been better to have done so with a victory,” stated the attacker during a press conference yesterday.

“Even though we lost, there’s still a lot of positives we can take from the Fiorentina match such as the courage, enthusiasm, and compactness we showed. Our goal is to make everyone realise we’re a team and we’re going to do everything imaginable to try and avoid relegation and remain in Serie A.”

“Our team has added a lot of new pieces this summer and they’re integrating themselves well. We’ve created a very tight knit family and we hope we can achieve another dream by remaining the top flight.”

He continued, “As for Monday, it’ll take place in a wonderful atmosphere. Even though it’s an away game, we approach every single match in the same manner.”

“Though, it’s going to be exciting to play in front of so many people inside a packed stadium.”
