Eldor Shomurodov has been linked with an exit in the January window for the past few months.

Rumours have put the Uzbeki striker on the radar of several clubs in Italy including Cremonese.

Their sporting director, Simone Giacchetta, confirmed his side’s interest in Shomurodov during a recent press conference.

“We want to improve in January with specific signings in the attack, midfield and defence. We will try to create a firmer backbone to help the team avoid relegation,” Giacchetta told reporters. “First, we must understand what we need, as we did this summer with both Italian and foreign players.”

“Shomurodov has good qualities, he is a nice player, but the important thing is that whoever arrives is willing to sacrifice themselves for the team and suffer willingly.”
