Bryan Cristante continues to test positive for COVID after contracting the virus around ten days ago before Roma’s away game to Genoa.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sport, the Italian midfielder tested again today and the result came out positive once more.
This means that the player will be out against Bologna. It remains to be seen whether he will be able to recover for Saturday’s showdown vs Inter.
In his absence, Roma will continue to rely on Mkhitaryan as an additional midfielder.
In the meantime, the status of Gonzalo Villar (also out with COVID) is currently unclear. The Spaniard is also expected to sustain more COVID tests in the coming days.
