The coach, who particularly appreciates his qualities, ended up permanently adapting him to the left flank, with Celik covering the right.
This season, at least for now, the Brazilian international is playing the same position, with Molina and Lulli alternating on the right.
It’s not just Gasperini: Wesley is also appreciated by his teammates, and Bryan Cristante, Roma captain, spoke to TNT Sports Brazil: “He’s a strong player, you could see that already in his first season in Italy, which is never easy.
