Youngster Cristian Volpato marked his debut with a goal that helped give Roma a boost in the second half to Roma-Verona.

The Primavera player, who replaced Felix at the 62nd minute, spoke to DAZN about the emotions and the thoughts going through his head after such an eventful evening.

“I’m very happy about my first goal, but it’s a shame that we could only come away with a draw, ” said the 18-year-old. “I wanted to come on and change the game.”

When asked what kind of advice the Special One gave to him, Bove and Zalewski, he replied, “Mourinho told us to play simple football and to always try and make the decisive pass.”

Finally, Volpato ended the interview with the following comment, “I still need to check my phone and see if Totti texted me. He’s like a brother to me, always giving me advice.”
