Former Bordeaux owner Joseph DaGrosa, the Chairman of GACP Sports and General American Capital Partners, spoke to offthepitch.com today and confirmed his interested in investing in Roma.
Yesterday, RomaPress confirmed that the Miami-based investor has indeed been in contact with Goldman Sachs, the bank tasked with finding new investors for the club.
“I can confirm AS Roma is one of a number of clubs we have looked at a very preliminary basis,” he said.
“I think maybe our involvement has been exaggerated by our friends in the Italian press. I’m sure Pallotta has a lot of options and we’re just one of the options he is considering.”
The Giallorossi are in desperate search for a new investor after talks with The Friedkin Group have yet to reach a successful conclusion.
