Roma are still considering free agent Dan-Axel Zagadou to further strengthen their defence ahead of the upcoming season.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Zagadou – whose contract with Borussia Dortmund expired earlier this summer – is among the main candidates for José Mourinho’s backline.
Unlike Eric Bailly for whom Manchester United want at least €10 million, Zagadou represents a cheaper option with greater potential given his younger age.
The 23-year-old’s progress at Borussia was often interrupted by injuries, but the player now seems to have put physical issues behind him.
The capital club are reportedly in contact with his entourage as the new season approaches.
