Despite the transfer window having already closed three hours ago, Roma are still scouting the free agent market which includes long-time target Dan-Axel Zagadou.
The former Borussia Dortmund centre-back is still without a team and Roma are now deemed favorites to land him given Jose Mourinho’s insistence on adding another defender to his roster.
According to French outlet footmercato, Zagadou’s agent has landed in Italy and is trying to finalize a transfer for his client. Talks are ongoing between the player’s agent and the capital club.
Inter are also said to be in the race for the 23-year-old centre-back despite having just signed Francesco Acerbi from Lazio.
More developments are expected to follow soon as Zagadou’s future could be determined in the coming hours.
