Roma are in the midst of ongoing negotiations for out-of-favour Paris Saint-Germain Georginio Wijnaldum who is pushing for a move away from the French capital.

According to Il Tempo, negotiations are well underway and there is the belief that the deal can be closed in the coming days.

The Italian newspaper reports that yesterday Roma president Dan Friedkin travelled to Paris with his private jet from Nice.

It remains to be seen whether this trip was carried out with Wijnaldum as a priority, but Friedkin’s excellent relations with PSG’s board suggest that the president may have been involved in talks regarding the Dutch midfielder.

Earlier in the week, Roma General Manager Tiago Pinto met with Wijnaldum’s agent at Trigoria in order to speed up the process of bringing the 31-year-old to the Italian capital.
