Despite a disappointing result in Via del Mare against Lecce, Roma boss Daniele De Rossi did not point fingers and pass blame onto others.

In his post-match presser, De Rossi refused to criticize Edoardo Bove and Nicola Zalewski for their performances in last night’s 0-0 draw.

The two players were heavily criticized in today’s media reports and labeled as Roma’s worst performers of the night.

“Zalewski seemed brilliant with the national team and that is why I decided to start him,” explained De Rossi. “Bove returned a little banged-up from the national team, but I saw him doing very well in training.”

“I trust both of them very much and I do not think they are responsible for the way we played in the first half which was very bad,” he added.
