Daniele De Rossi reflected on his own input as the Giallorossi’s head coach despite Roma were able to collect 6 games in the last two games.

In his post-game presser following Salernitana 1-2 Roma, De Rossi looked back on his limited time as the team’s manager in the aftermath of Jose Mourinho’s sacking less than two weeks ago.

“12 days is a very short amount of time to see changes being implemented on the pitch,” De Rossi told reporters. “Certainly even the negative things you see on the pitch are caused by me, just as the good ones are.”

“When we don’t play well enough, then that means I’ve made some mistakes,” he added.

“In order to prepare for this match I watched some videos of Salernitana this season and it was evident to me that everyone struggles against them, especially in their home. Here you suffer, they are strong. However, we must demonstrate more of a gap between us and them and I must be good at fielding the right players to do this.”
