Roma manager Daniele De Rossi did not hide his satisfaction with the team’s performance in their win over Monza and the recent string of positive results.
In his post-match press conference at the UPower Stadium in Lombardy, De Rossi commented on the positive streak and his energetic start to life as head coach at Roma.
“I dreamed of a start like this,” said De Rossi. “We need to run more, we continue work hard on an athletic level and we have increased our work without the ball. In this press room I came to the UEFA Pro course with Palladino and this knowledge helped me. We are physically well, this game only makes sense if you are well physically.”
“Was today our best performance? If you look at the full 90 minutes, yes, but we also did very well against Inter. Then in the 15 minutes of the second half of that match Inter decided to be a great team.”
“In other matches we were a bit up and down. We dropped a little, but got off to a good start. I really liked this match because of how difficult of an opponent Monza can be. If you always keep going strong, every now and then you risk something. We have to work on it. Monza has often created difficulties for its opponents.”
