Daniele De Rossi analyzed Roma’s 1-1 result with Genoa.
Following Genoa’s painful last second equalizer, De Rossi shared his thoughts with DAZN.
“Too many technical errors and that made the difference. We had great opportunities to score the second goal, and that too made the difference.”
“We started playing too low because we stopped pressing and running like we did in the first half. When this happens you have to be ready for the counterattack, we could have gone and put them back in their half of the field.”
“In the second half we created nothing. The numbers are in our favor, but if you dominate in the first half, things shouldn’t be different in the second.”
“We are a team that must fight for the Champions League. It’s our goal, sixth place is starting to tire us. Not finishing fourth wouldn’t be a failure because there are many teams involved in the race. We made an important summer that was meant to help us get started. It would have done us a lot of good to win.”
