Roma manager Daniele De Rossi discussed his decision to give Tommaso Baldanzi a start tonight as the 20-year replaces Paulo Dybala in Roma’s starting line-up versus Lecce.
In his pre-match interview with DAZN, De Rossi commented, “I see him doing very well. Tommaso is young, he comes from a smaller team, he has an exceptional player like Dybala in front of him and he has little space, but we have great faith in him.”
“Initially he was more shy but that’s normal, but now he’s taking on more responsibility, even in training. I have great faith in him,” he added.
“Dybala? Let’s see how the match develops and if we will need him to come off the bench. He has never held back lately, he has played a lot, he has had a small physical problem that needs to be treated with care, especially in view of the end of the rest of the season.”
