Daniele De Rossi was asked to comment on last night’s celebratory hug he and Dybala exchanged after the Argentine scored Roma’s second goal of the night versus Torino.

In his post-match press conference, De Rossi shared a detailed on opinion on his relationship with Dybala and other players on the team’s roster.

“I cheered like crazy because as soon as he set up the shot I said to myself that he would score: it’s exciting, but not because it’s Dybala. The other year I wanted to hug Esposito from SPAL, my players came to hug me at the end of the match and I got excited like a child.”

“For me the most important thing I have is the relationship I create with the players, regardless of whether their name is Dybala or Nicola Rauti. The relationship I have with these guys is what keeps me alive and what makes me choose this job every day, what makes me have this desire every morning to get up and do it.”

“These hugs are little cuddles that my staff and I willingly take because we are truly happy, beyond the work, with what has been created in so few days with the team.”
