Roma head coach Daniele De Rossi was asked about the club’s latest signings in Angelino and Tommaso Baldanzi and their role ahead of tomorrow’s match against Cagliari.

During today’s press conference, De Rossi commented on the two players’ readiness, “A week of preparations is ideal for any coach, even though we want to resume playing the Europa League.”

“Throughout the week we worked on our concepts, on physical conditioning, on physical preparation. It’s not that you do real preparation in a week, like in the pre-season, but you try to give different stimuli to the players. When you play every three days, you train by playing in practice. We pushed hard, the boys responded very well with their heads and legs.”

“Regarding the new players, I say that they will bring lots of quality to our team, in their positioning without the ball, in their first steps, they are two quality players and I really like this. Fitting in after three days is what it is, but in terms of interaction with the other classmates they are both pretty smart lads.”
