Newly appointed Roma manager Daniele De Rossi was happy with his team pulling three points in their victory against Hellas Verona.

In his post-match interview with Roma TV, De Rossi stressed the importance of this win following an eventful week for the Giallorossi.

“We are in a very delicate situation,” said De Rossi. “Bringing home the 3 points was important and will be important for working with more serenity in the coming days as we prepare for the next games.”

“I liked how the guys played in the first half, we’ve been working on some things these last days and they seem to respond well to my instructions. If we always play the way we did in the first half we can take on everyone.”

“I had no doubt it would be exciting. As a coach you cannot just hope for the best, you have more things to think about and maybe you enjoy it a little less. But it was nice to be hear the support.”

“It seemed right to go and say hello to fans. I heard them during the match, even though I was a little distracted. The first time I had to do a half-mile around the field to thank them because they have been with me for 20 years and they are wonderful.”
