Roma head coach Daniele De Rossi discussed his team’s result in tonight’s win over Al Shabab.

After pulling off a narrow 2-1 victory in Riyadh, De Rossi spoke to Roma TV about the importance of tonight’s friendly ahead of the next Serie A fixture with Salernitana,

“I can safely say we’re working really well, this friendly match has messed up our plans a bit. It got in the way of our training schedule but we have learned more about who we are as a team. Tonight we had a new experience ahead of an important match with Salernitana.”

“The Primavera players? I would have let them play even more, but the trip affected us, yesterday we trained only briefly, but tomorrow after almost 12 hours of flying here and back we can’t do practically anything. But I tried my best to have some of the younger guys experience this kind of rhythm. It was nice, a lot of satisfaction for them.”
