Roma manager Daniele De Rossi analyzed the team’s performance in this evening’s draw with Napoli.

The Italian technician spoke to Sky Sport soon after the 2-2 draw.

“We take the point but it’s not what we wanted. Napoli are strong, we met them in a complicated moment.”

“We should have been tidier in possession, because when Napoli have the ball they are bound to be dangerous. We lost a few too many balls and they took a lot of shots. We have to do better, on Thursday we play against another great team.”

“I don’t know if fatigue is a factor. We don’t have too many technical players in the midfield at our disposal. When Paredes isn’t there you can feel it, but we have to do better because he can’t always be there for us.”

“We have played many games and there are still many to go. If we think about fatigue now we will struggle until the end of the season.”

“Ndicka? Beyond the assist, he marked Osimhen perfectly throughout the entire match. We need everyone right now, I’m happy for Tammy’s goal who returns after a tough period.”

“We have two players back from injury. We need everyone, we hope to also get Lukaku and Smalling back for Thursday, we really need everyone going into this week.”

“We have to do better with the ball, I don’t care much about the number of ball possessions. Mancini played a match in line with the others, it wasn’t a great match for anyone, but nobody had too much influence on our performance. It wasn’t easy for a footballer who always plays even when injured.”

“Sanches? He gives us a hand, he has technical qualities. Having entered well in a difficult moment, he was unlucky with the penalty, he will be able to give us a hand as the season ends. My choices penalized him, he has never played 90 minutes, but he is a very important footballer and especially in the last month and we will need him too.”
