Roma manager Daniele De Rossi spoke ahead of this week’s upcoming Europa League match with Brighton.

In his post-match interview with Roma TV, De Rossi praised the team’s performance in the 4-1 win over Monza and laid out his expectations for the first leg against Brighton.

“When you win there is always enthusiasm,” said De Rossi. “Things are going well. The boys gave a good performance, but it wasn’t easy. Monza is a great team, who are trained very well.”

“We were good in the first half – we were patient and allowed ourselves to suffer. I liked the attitude of the boys. Before the match I motivated them like hell because I knew it could be an important match on a day in which there are many direct clashes.”

“Brighton? It will be another stimulating fixture like the one with Feyenoord. It will be another night with a fiery and sold-out stadium. They are two delicate matches, against a very strong team and with a coach who I respect very much. We will prepare as best as possible, we need everyone and we will be ready.”
