Daniele De Rossi appears to be the favorite to succeed Cristian Chivu at Parma.
The former Roma coach is close to returning to managerial duties eights months after being dismissed by the Giallorossi.
As reported by Sky Sport, De Rossi has overtaken Alberto Gilardino for the Parma bench, with Gilardino closing in on a move to Pisa instead.
Talks between De Rossi and Parma are underway and at advanced stages.
The Emilian club are hoping to secure De Rossi’s appointment shortly.
