With the announcement of Daniele De Rossi’s stay as the club’s head coach being renewed beyond this season, Roma must now turn their attention to the sporting director vacancy.
The Giallorossi are yet to make an official announcement regarding the appointment of a new director of sports who could collaborate closely with De Rossi ahead of the summer transfer window.
According to La Repubblica, De Rossi has a clear preference in his former teammate and close personal friend Nicolas Burdisso.
Burdisso is currently under contract with Fiorentina, but would be reportedly willing to consider returning to the Italian capital to reunite with De Rossi.
