Daniele De Rossi on the eve of Brighton clash: “This match fascinates me.”

Roma manager Daniele De Rossi spoke to Roma TV on the eve of the highly anticipated first leg of the Europa League Round of 16.

“This is a match that fascinates me from a tactical point of view,” said De Rossi. “In the next seven days I will play twice against De Zerbi and once against Vincenzo Italiano, I consider them perhaps among the best products that Italian football has produced as coaches in recent years so for me it is a great stimulus.”

“I have great enthusiasm when I face these coaches and then obviously strong players clash on the field, so we shouldn’t even give too much weight to ourselves but it’s nice to find myself here, even in a little way. unexpected compared to where I was two months ago.”

“The Olimpico is an additional weapon for us. It then depends on how Brighton will respond to it, if they will be frozen by our atmosphere… but I think that they know the football they play very well, and therefore they will rely on their knowledge during the match.”

“Surely if we play a worthy and proactive match the stadium will get fully behind us and it will be an incredible mix.”
