Daniele De Rossi previews Roma-Bologna

Roma manager Daniele De Rossi spoke to the media on the eve of the match with Bologna.

The Italian technician attended this morning’s press conference at Trigoria.

“Lukaku will not be called up for Bologna, he had a minor muscular problem, nothing to worry about. Abraham or Azmoun will start and then they can play together as the game goes on,” said De Rossi.

“Bologna is creating a masterpiece, I congratulate Thiago Motta and the club for the incredible team they have built. It is fascinating to see them and difficult to study and deal with them in advance,” he added.

“I am aligned with the club’s words to contest the League’s decision to resume the game against Udinese on 25 April. It prevents us from having enough time to prepare for the Europa League semifinal. Our requests were legitimate and were still dismissed.”

“I would like see Dybala as a false nine, sometimes I thought about it. To play with a false nine like Paulo you need great players on the wings, explosive players. Even in midfield we need players who fit in. I would love to, but we also need a deep attack and that’s not one of our great characteristics.”

“I haven’t seen enough of Abraham but he has incredible strength and energy that I have to channel to make him give his best. He has already understood what I want from the center forward, he can become devastating like Lukaku.”

“Pellegrini amazes me tactically, my staff and I didn’t think he was so intelligent, and athletically he is also an incredible player,” he added.

“Lotito’s words? Unfortunately I was ready for that. I have a good rapport with him, but Lotito was wrong for that. Nobody should hold against us what happened in the match with Udinese. There’s people who see a conspiracy everywhere and usually you think it’s 15 year-olds on social media, but it turns out it also affects people who work in the world of football. Those of us who work in football should be sensitive in order to grow and move forward.”
