Roma boss Daniele De Rossi gave an interview to Sky Sport prior to tonight’s kick-off with Bayer Leverkusen.
The Italian technician discussed the dangers that await his side as they face the unbeaten Bundesliga champions.
“Regardless of whether Bayer will play more offensively or defensively, their collective strength does not change,” said De Rossi. “We will have to find their weak points and exploit them.”
“We will be aggressive in pressing in general. It’s a strong team overall, we’ll have to think about everyone, not just about select players like Xhaka.”
“When there is little space, launching the ball forward for Lukaku or for the wingers can be an option. It doesn’t have to be the only one otherwise we become predictable, but if they press high, it means that the space behind is freed up and we will have to attack there.”
