Roma boss Daniele De Rossi did not hide his disappointment after the team failed to win against Lecce earlier today, dropping precious points in the Champions League race.
In his post-match press conference, De Rossi was very vocal about Roma’s mistakes that cost them the two points.
“We must recognize the Lecce’s fine performance – tonight they were really good,” said De Rossi. “But for our objectives in the league these are two dropped points.”
“We conceded 27 shots and ran unnecessary risks, there are things we need to improve,” he continued. “Lecce played an excellent match, but we must do better.”
“The boys told me that it wasn’t easy to calculate the trajectory of the ball due to the wind, but the wind exists for both teams. We must show to be capable of playing gritty football in these kinds of matches.”
“Tonight Falcone was excellent but Svilar was equally as good. Both teams were saved by their respective goalkeepers,” he added.
