Roma head coach Daniele De Rossi touched upon his desire to have a long-term career as the Giallorossi’s manager in today’s press conference.

Near the final stages of his pre-match presser ahead of the game with Inter, De Rossi was asked by reporters whether he feels like he was predestined for this position in the club he played for for 18 years.

“I read so many of these articles calling me that two years ago. Then, after SPAL, few continued to say it and I struggled to get another coaching job, rightly so after those 4-5 negative months in Ferrara.”

“But I have a great passion, I want to do this job. A bit by chance, I found myself in the place where I would like to be a coach for the rest of my life. The fact that I am here may be a coincidence but also an important signal.”

“Definitely, I know this environment better than where I was last year. I’m enjoying this adventure day by day, I don’t know how long it will last but I’m enjoying it a lot.”
