Roma legend Daniele De Rossi has made up his mind and – after obtaining his UEFA coaching badge in October – is going back to Roberto Mancini’s staff, La Gazzetta dello Sport reports.
The former Roma captain had quit the national team following Italy’s win at the Euros and dedicated himself to pursue a career in coaching.
However, delays related to COVID have now motivated De Rossi to return to the national team as Italy prepares for the big play-off games against Portugal.
