Daniele De Rossi reveals his main message to players: “Roma must never lack courage.”

Roma boss Daniele De Rossi shared insight into his life as a coach in the Italian capital.

As reported by Corriere della Sera, De Rossi released an interview during Business Club, a meeting the Giallorossi had organized with the various sponsors.

“I don’t like making promises, but I can say that one thing I often talk about with my players is that Roma must never lack courage. I could also say that we will always have determination, but that would be a cliche.”

“The visual impact of the Roma brand around the world is very important. Roma is something you carry with you.”

“Spalletti always tells an anecdote: he coached Zenit St. Petersburg and met a child in the elevator. Even though the coach was wearing the Zenit coat, with the crest of the Russian club, the child repeated to him: “You Roma, you Roma”. Rome and Roma are exactly that. The fans are the engine that moves us, every day.”

“I always wanted to become a coach but I only made it known to people close to me about 5-6 years ago. A coach works long hours and must be obsessed with perfection. Obviously being a coach at Roma is even more emotionally impactful for me.”
