Daniele De Rossi to personally oversee Roma’s decisions in transfer signings

Andy Mattioli

Daniele De Rossi is preparing for his first summer as Roma’s head coach.

This means that the Italian technician will not rest despite the season ending a few days ago.

In fact, De Rossi is predicted to cut his vacation short and begin more work for the busy summer that awaits the Giallorossi club.

The club are expected to announce De Rossi’s long-term appointment until 2027 in the coming days.

Once that is official, De Rossi will undertake more duties within Trigoria alongside technical director Florent Ghisolfi and CEO Lina Souloukou.

The trio will focus on outgoing transfers and completing all the necessary signings ahead of next season.

As reported in today’s edition of Corriere dello Sport, De Rossi will personally oversee Roma’s decisions when it comes to the signings made.

He will not have an ‘English-style’ GM role but will be involved in all decisions, without accepting players who do not conform to the characteristics dear to him.

Roma have made it a point to involve De Rossi as much as possible in order to create the team most suited for him.

For this reason he will limit himself to a very short holiday period. Maybe a week or so in mid-June.
