Roma manager Daniele De Rossi spoke to Roma TV ahead of tonight’s kick-off to the first leg of the Europa League quarterfinals with Milan.

During the interview – which was scheduled prior to the team’s trip on Wednesday afternoon – De Rossi discussed the level of difficulty of this match-up.

“The derby makes you get a little too drunk with joy, it’s not easy to keep everyone’s minds focused on the next match, but when there is such an important match on such a beautiful and prestigious stage it will help us realize that the match won on Saturday has passed and should only be a memory by now,” said De Rossi with regards to the post-derby celebrations.

“Of course we are familiar with Milan: Milanis a team we would have gladly avoided, they are very strong.”

“They can be devastating when going forward. They do have a few weak points but at the same time so many strengths we must be cautious of. We are here to cause them problems and try and beat them.”

“Only Azmoun is unavailable. The players who are suspended like Ndicka will come with us as we will remain in Milan to prepare for the match against Udinese, which will be very important. The boys are in good condition, some are more tired because they played the derby, but the morale is sky high.”
