Darboe could go on loan in January

Ebrima Darboe’s renewal with the Giallorossi is expected to be announced in the coming days.

The player has reportedly agreed to extend his contract with the capital club until 2026.

According to Corriere dello Sport, however, the player may be sent out on loan to gain some much needed experience and play starter minutes.

Offers may already arrive in January, with Mourinho giving the player a green light to leave in case Roma were to secure a midfield signing.

The 20-year-old had already drawn interest from several Serie A sides in the summer transfer window after debuting under former manager Paulo Fonseca in the latter stages of the 20/21 campaign.
