David Neres: “I rejected an offer from Roma”.

Ajax attacker David Neres, admitted today to jovempan.uol.com.br that he refused a move to Roma this summer. These are his words:

“I rejected proposals from Roma and Borussia Dortmund. I think I still have to grow a lot and win some titles here at Ajax. It was not the right time, I spoke with my family and my agent. Certainly these clubs play in competitions better than the Dutch league, but when I make the big jump, I want to be 100% ready. I thought the beginning would be more difficult, but being with my family and focusing on the pitch and the new city was the most important thing. The most difficult things since arriving has been dealing with the cold and learning Dutch, but many here speak English.”
