David Pizarro: “I will die a Romanista.”

Andy Mattioli

Former Roma midfielder David Pizarro was asked about his thoughts on Daniele De Rossi’s start to life as a head coach in the Italian capital.

During an interview with Sky Sport, Pizarro reflected on his former teammate’s time as manager of the Giallorossi.

”I am happy that De Rossi has taken charge of a situation that is not easy, Rome is not an easy environment to handle.”

“I think he’s done a great job, too bad he’s had to deal with a very limited squad. As far as I’m concerned, he did a great job.”

“I often follow Roma and Fiorentina. My team? They’re playing at the Olimpico on Sunday. I wasn’t born a Romanista but I will die one.”
